Before anyone gets too confused this is 100% painted. More still life practice, trying to get back to my roots and remember how to paint/draw in a realistic fashion. No tracing was involved.
I'm kind of surprised that the sketch on the paper took more effort than the rest of this image, phh. I think the worst of it was the ellipses from the cup, though. Fuck that cup, even if its contents were absolutely delicious.
Photoshop cs4 on a cintiq tablet.

this is amazing, i did a double take thinking that this was a photograph, but i love the detail in the sketch and the highlights of the headphones

This looks amazing D: I love how realistic this looks...I swear at first glance I thought it was a photo. You did a lovely job on the shading, the tones look so smooth and so blended, and I adore how you have handled the shadows as well, the tones look so soft and balanced. Great work on the perspective as well, I adore the angle that you drew this at C:, and the details overall look amazing too, like on the writing on the cup and on the wires round the headphones. :love: Lovely work, out of curiosity what lovely drink was in the cup? :XD:
